One of the most important skills you need to develop to be successful in business is patience. In this short report we take a closer look at business patience. We will go over what it means to be patient when it comes to running your business, how to become more patient and then wrap it up by looking at both the benefits and potential pitfalls.

I can’t tell you how often I see people give up just a little too soon. They put their blood, sweat and tears into a project and then let it go to move on to the next venture. If only they’d stuck with it a little longer …

Here’s one of my favorite business success quotes:

“Many of life's failures are experienced by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
Thomas Edison

Mr. Edison stuck it out and showed incredible patience. As you know he is the inventor of the light bulb. What you may not know, is that it took him thousands of tries to invent a working light bulb. Did he give up? No… he kept on trying, stuck to the plan and realized anytime it didn’t work out, he found another way how not to make a light bulb. He failed fast and thus quickly moved on and eventually made it work.

His patience paid off big, not only financially, but also historically. Every single one of us uses light bulbs daily. Could you imagine a life today without an electric light bulb? I’m grateful Mr. Edison developed a lot of patience in business and stuck it out until he figured out a way to make it work.

My hope with this guide on business patience is that it will help you keep going when you feel like giving up. Keep giving it 100% and stick to your plan to its fruition.
